I just sent a niece off to college (Toledo University) and we used these bed frame risers to give her more under bed storage. http://www.rangekleen.com/underbed-storage-bed-lifters.php I know there are a lot of different brands around but you can easily find these at Target, Wal-Mart, or other big box stores, in case your roommates want some also.
