Right?

I have no excuses. Anywho, it’s busy busy land around here. Single again, but it’s for the best. I’m also working on fixing up an old bedroom into a studio. I hope to put loom, wheels, yarn, sewing, and glass stuff in there. So far it’s painted and next step is the floor.

The photo below is the walls when I was painting. The left has two coats and the right is only one. The color is called magicians cloak.

I decided to try the Branching Out Scarf from Knitty

Three repeats of the pattern. This is done with some yarn that Kae sent me a while back. The yarn is sock yarn from Ozyarn, but they are now closed. I’m not sure of the name of the colorway.

I’m chugging along on the Cherry Blossom shawl. No photos though because I’m still on the dpns and it looks like a red blob. I’ll try to get a picture after the next increase when (hopefully) I’ll get to switch to circs. I have thought about doing a knit along for this shawl…anyone interested??

I have done one of the two diamond patterns in the last section of my PI Shawl. Two more plain rounds and then I start the next section fo diamonds. After that is the edging and I’ll be done. Hopefully I’ll get that one finished soon.

Tomorrow is Show your tattoo day, so tomorrow you’ll get to see all of mine (if I can locate the photos LOL). If you’ve got one…flaunt it!!

Can’t believe it’s Friday already. Boy time really flies when you don’t want it to.

What am I doing?? I started a pair of socks from my Opal yarn. OMG I’m in lurrrrve!! Love love love the opal.

Still working on the Pi shawl. I just started my last ball of yarn and I’m about 5 rows from the last increase section. Whoops. I’m going to run out. I just don’t know how much more to buy. Someone mentioned that when you get up to the 576 stitch section you are only 25% done (by stitch count) so If it’s taken me like 3 1/4 balls of yarn to get 1/4 of the way done?? OY VEY! I just want to know how many to buy because I’ll have to order it online. (Blue Sky Alpaca)

I started a wrap/scarf thingy in a Wave and Shell pattern from the Arucania Nature wool..sorry..no photos yet, but it’s really pretty.

I’m set to leave on next Thursday morning for the cruise. Wheee.. I’m so not ready. Not packed or anything. I’ll be tossing stuff in the bag at the last minute I know!

I am reading about everyone reading the bookbookbook. It’s on my wishlist, but I usually buy books when I sell my college texts back at the end of the semester. Does anyone else do that?? I hate having to wait though!!

Ok..I gotta run. The Liam has his three year well check this morning and then I need to run my mom to her house so she can pick up some things (1 hour away…blech and I have to drive so no knitting..wahh).

I finished the set I was making for Becca. I think it turned out lovely. The headband is just a K2P2 rib circle with both the furry yarn and the lambs pride. The scarf is knit double with the yarn on size 13’s. It’s nice and thick and has a nice drape to it. She’s seen the pictures and she loves it. Job well done!

I joined the Thing-along. (see the button on my sidebar) I decided I should take a photo of the progress on my thing so far. I’m at the buttonhole section. It’s larger than I thought it would be from looking at the photos in the book, but its turning out nice I think. It’s a good way to learn technique.

You might also notice that I joined the Pi Shawl knitalong. I have been working on a shawl (the cobweb shawl from MagKnits) which is based on the Pi Shawl pattern. I think when I’m done with it I’ll make a proper Pi Shawl.

I’m anxious to start my Rogue and I don’t even have the yarn yet. I guess I need to learn a little patience.
