I started the Ladies Useful Stockings back in March. I LOVE THESE!!!

I‘m having issues with my images. I don’t know what’s up, but I can’t get it to make my photos thumbnails like its supposed to. I’ve had zero problems with this before, but now it won’t work. Anyone have any clues? WP Version 2.5.1

Yeah..see that, up there in the title….I FINISHED SOMETHING! Guess what? It’s not socks! It’s not even something I posted about starting. You see, Kae sent me this lubberly yarn for my b-day. D’zined Wool-Hemp Sportweight. It just screamed at me  - “I want to be an EZ February Baby Sweater!!!” Not to be one [...]

I finally got my fingerless gloves pattern written up. Remember these?

The pattern is very pithy ala EZ because I’m not so great at writing patterns. I really need some people to take a look at it and give it a test knit. I wrote the process out while I was knitting the gloves and filled [...]

I believe that the yarn we spin is capable of mending the broken warp and woof of our life.- Ghandi

After I posted last, I really REALLY wanted to start spinning that new fiber. I looked at my wheel and realized, I didn’t have enough empty bobbins. I had taken my wheel with me when I went to the A&S competition and spun on it a while, and I had a partial bobbin on it [...]

We sleep, but the loom of life never stops, and the pattern which was weaving when the sun went down is weaving when it comes up in the morning. - Henry Ward Beecher

Well…I got the loom warped. It took a while, but not at all as long as I expected. I warped the loom front to back but didn’t use the lease sticks. I only had 120 warp ends (60 of each color) so I figured that It would be ok to just put the cross [...]

If this works, it will be posting while I am setting up a table full of things to compete in an A&S contest in the SCA. I will be at Steppes Artisan with a whole bunch of stuff. Wish me luck.
This competition is a bit different from most. It’s a “body of work” competition. That [...]

I finished one of the Charade socks last night.

It has an interesing toe..one I’ve never done before.
It meets with Fiona’s tough standards.
  Fiona Seal of approval!
I got some interesting news! Dani  nominated me for a Rockin’ Girl Blogger award. This is too cool! I wasn’t ready so I don’t have a speech prepared!
I am nominating [...]

Batteries finally got charged…
I’ve made a little more progress on my Charade sock..

I love the yarn… and I’m loving how it’s knitting up. That reminds me..I need to change my progress bar.
This is the yarn that I got at Rosepath on Wednesday.

It’s a 3/2 cotton and one is 8 oz and the other is 9 [...]

I’m such a joiner…

But I’m loving every minute of it.
For a while now I had been eyeballing the MS3 knitalong and hovering my finger above the “join now” button. I didn’t because I joined at least one of the others and never did anything with it. I joined yesterday morning. BikerChick and Knitterbug (yeah..she has a blog now [...]
