As I was putting up our Christmas decorations the other day I realized that this household that contains a knitter (me) didn’t have any handknit Christmas stockings. WTF?? That can’t be a good thing. I decded to remedy that situation. I pulled out my copy of Handknit Holidays and whipped up this little ditty.

My Christmas Stocking

This one will be for ME. I need to dig in the stash and whip up another few stockings for the rest of the mob here. This took me one day to knit and was fairly simple. If you’re looking for a nice stocking pattern, I really recommend it. (You can make it look really neat if you use variagated or selfstriping yarns in the mosaic pattern)

I am also working on my Mr. Greenjeans out of Malabrigo (I call it Mr. Mmmmmalabrigojeans).

Sorry for the bad camera phone pic, but it was all I had at the time. I am using the color Sealing Wax and I love it. I am a bit further down the cabling now and plugging right along. Maybe I’ll get to wear it before winter is over. We might actually get to wear wool down here in Texas this year. So far its being colder than usual. I wore my Tilted Duster yesterday and was nice and toasty.

I hope to be able to post more now that things seem to be settling down. I graduate this Saturday and will begin the job hunt soon also. I wanted to give myself a little break before going straight into working. I’m looking for ideas to help me think of things to post more regularly. If anyone knows of anything like topics for days or anything that would help me to have blog fodder, I’d be grateful if you’d post it here.

I got two presents for graduation. One is my iphone that I got for myself. The other is a chatelaine that bikerchick got me. I love them both.
