But I’m loving every minute of it.
For a while now I had been eyeballing the MS3 knitalong and hovering my finger above the “join now” button. I didn’t because I joined at least one of the others and never did anything with it. I joined yesterday morning. BikerChick and Knitterbug (yeah..she has a blog now too) and I went out to Stitches and Stuff to look for yarn. I got some blackSkacel Merino lace and BikerChick got some wool to make the Highland Triangle Shawl from Folk Shawls. I’ll let her tell you more about that.
While we were in the LYS I met another MS3-er! Her name is Julie and she is really nice. Say hi Julie!! Hopefully we’ll get together at a sit and knit one of these days!
I went to Hobby Lobby when we left the LYS and I found some Czech Glass beads in iridescent colors that I thought looked nice with the black. I came home and swatched and came up with this.
Thats on size 3 needles. I think I have good definition and I like the look. So I went to cast on, but I didn’t have the right size crochet hook. *drat* I went out this morning and got the correct size to do the bead work.
After all my running around today I finally got home and cast on and worked up the first chart.
So far this is a really fun knit. I have to get things packed now for our trip tomorrow, but I hope to try to finish clue 1 tonight or by Sunday night so I can get to work on clue 2.
There are over 6000 people now on the yahoo group for this stole. It’s amazing how many people are working on it. I can’t wait to see all these stoles!

Hey there!
We journeyed to HL yesterday and couldn’t find size 8 beads for the project. I mean they had some, but I wanted something more subtle than black or hot pink to use with the grey. SOOOOOOOOO… I ordered some and will wait impatiently until they arrive. I should swatch tonight after I finish up a car seat blanket that I’ve been knitting.
Thanks for the warm welcome and the pics. You did double your yarn as we spoke of at SNS?
Keep up the good work!!!

Wow, I titled my last blog entry nearly the exact same thing for the same reason! Great minds, right?

It looks great! If it weren’t lace I would have joined too. Currently I have no ambition for lace whatsoever. LOL
