Yep..I actually knit.

I haven’t posted much knitting content lately. I’ve been very blah about most of my knitting lately.

I finally resurrected my Flowing River Shawl from its time out and pulled out the messed up parts and restarted the border. I’m now on row 22 (out of 40!–Woot!!) and going strong.

River1

yep..a big blue blob, but on further inspection…its turning out very nicely.

These photos are of the border. Wow..my new camera ROCKS! I have 18 more rows and then I can start the edging.

This is the center portion of the shawl. I started at the top point up there, knit to the neck edge and then bound off and picked up stiches for the edging. Sometimes I amaze myself.

This patten was written by the wonderful Renee of GoddessKnits. I am so loving her pattern. I’m loving it so much that I have bought the newest shawl in her shawl club and I have joined her mystery shawl along. Can you say addict??

The yarn was dyed by Kae (I’m sorry Kae, I’ve forgotten what it is) and this shawl is the first in the series that I’m knitting to represent the 4 elements. I’m hoping to finish it before I start school next week. *fingers crossed*

I’ve been lurking a bit and really enjoying your progress on your flowing river shawl (that was how I originally found your blog). I’ve just started the FRS myself, and you are the only other person I’ve found to be doing it! It just looks wonderful- seeing your pics is inspiring.

This will be my first shawl, and first time reading from a chart, so it’s a bit challenging- but, I’m really enjoying it. Beautiful pattern.

So, thanks for posting about it. I’ll look forward to hearing more. Also, wanted to say that I’d love to see a picture of the edging while it’s in progress. The edging is the only part that I can’t really visualize fully as to how it works up. Love to see yours!
