New hair (kind of) for a new year.

January 2nd, 2007 · 6 Comments

Wendy wanted to see my hair after the henna treatment so here goes.

after

I think it looks more shiny, and I know it feels softer and thicker. I wasn’t shooting for a widely different color than I normally have, but a more natural and less damaging way to do it. I ordered my henna from Henna for Hair which is the absolutely BEST henna resource out there.

I am working on growing out my hair and going for a more natural and better for my hair routine. Right now its 27.5 inches long. Go me!!  I’ve also been reading and posting at The Long Hair Community  (Verna? don’t you post there too? *waves*) and learning lots of new info about hair care and things that work and don’t work. Since I’ve been doing these things, my hair grew 1/2 inch in a month! I hope I can keep that up.

Anyway..thats all about my hair.

On the knitterly front..I made 5 balls. *grin* I can knit one in about an hour if that’s all I’m doing. Nice movie watching knitting.

Yup, I post there - or, I *did*, before it got hacked. B**tards!

*ahem* Sorry….your hair looks *fantastic*! I’m awaiting a henna blend myself - the Morocco Method “Marigold Blonde”, which is supposed to give me all the benefits of henna, be more permanent than cassia, and Not Change my blonde hair to red. We’ll see…..

I’ve been wanting to henna my hair for awhile. Your hair looks beautiful and so long! THe longest hair on my head is barely 2 inches! ;)

I wandered over here from JenLa, and I just had to comment on the red hair. :) Gorgeous!

My hair is naturally curly and red, and I keep hearing how good henna is for your hair, but I really don’t want to mess with my natural color. Maybe later, if it starts to go gray, but I like the red I’ve got. Thanks for posting the link to the henna resource pages, because I didn’t know about cassia obovata! Now I know I can condition without changing my color.
