What is interested about these socks is that they are both from the same ball of Opal yarn, and yet they are both different.

(that’s black fuzz off the floor -oops - and they are even, I just didn’t get the one pulled up enough)

If anyone knows the color name of this yarn, I’d be grateful.

I’m sure you all have seen it by now, but Shannon has come up with NaKniSweMo to go along with NaNoWriMo. I think it’s a cute idea, and I’m going to use this motivation to finish the Raibert sweater that I’m working on for The Liam. Consider it my “get off your ass and knit” motivation. We’ll see how well I do.

I failed miserably at the Knitting Olympics, but maybe this one will get me in gear.

In other news, it doesn’t look like I’ll make Kid ‘n Ewe this year. I really wanted to go, but I couldn’t get it to work in the schedule and make everyone happy. I AM going to make it one of these years.

Instead, this weekend will have me at 45th Annual Salado Clan Gathering and Highland Games. I’m going to try to borrow the camera so hopefully I’ll have interesting photos. I’m taking my knitting along and maybe I’ll get photos of me knitting in public along with the kilts.
