I just realized that I hadn’t posted about my birthday weekend. I left school abut 1:30 p.m. after Children’s Theatre class and headed south west. I arrived in Killeen at about 4:30 and met J at his office. We went to Chilis and had a bite to eat since I had neglected to eat lunch (oops) and a couple of yummy drinks. (you MUST try the Chambord 1800 Margarita) Then he showed me around the area a bit. It’s very different from my North East Texas area. The trees are soooo small. LOL It is a very pretty area though.

We watched the sun set Friday over a lake outside of town and then went to a friends for dinner.

Saturday morning we got up early and went to Salado.  We went to breakfast at the Stagecoach Inn Coffee shop and then wandered around looking in all the shops. We drove up in the hills behind the town and looked at the amazing houses. I could SOOO live there. LOL He bought me a stuffed frog. We visted Sirena.

I had a wonderful weekend and I’ve had a permanent grin since I got home. I am going back there this weekend and taking the boys with me. This time I’m going to remember to take some photos.

So, how many of you are in the Killeen area?? It looks like I may be moving down there when school is out for the summer. It would be fun to have knitters to hang out with.
