I thought it was time for a new look on my blog…. We’ll see how long this lasts. I think I need to tweak the header image some, I’m not exactly happy with it. I was thinking that maybe I wasn’t posting much because I didn’t like how my blog looked, so maybe a face lift will get me to post on a more regular basis. I’d like to thank Dani for offering to help. Even though I figured it out on my own tonight, I may need to pick your brain later, so don’t run away too far!!
I have actually been knitting this weekend. I started another EZ Pi shawl on Saturday night. I decided I’d do one out of some purple worsted weight superwash wool that I had. I’m calling it my purple people eater. I’m already at the 288 stitch section so it’s going amazinly fast. My stitch marker box has apparently gone on walk about though and I don’t want to go much further til i find the markers. (using a hair tie to mark the beginning works ok, but I don’t want one between each section)
I also cast on ANOTHER Pi Shawl. I was browsing the EZasPi yahoo group and noticed that they had done a Mystery Pi shawl along earlier this spring. I have some ancient Cottrica yarn (30% cott0n 70% something else). That’s not a picture of my yarn because I’m lame and my camera batteries are dead. My yarn is a turqouise color with white and grey thrown in for good measure. Anyway, I cast on with this yarn today for a Mystery Pi..and I’m up to the 144 stitch section on that.
I’m working on the gusset on the jaywalker sock. (yes..I’m still on the first one..wanna make something of it???) I’m going to sit done sometime this week and take stock of all my knitting projects and either frog some or try to get some finished. I have waaaaaaaaaaay too many WIP’s hanging around here. I know i have at least two 1/2 pairs of socks laying around.
On the 17th my Topher will have to have his tonsils/adenoid’s removed. We go on the 10th for the pre-op stuff. We’re hoping that this helps with his hearing and helps him to sleep better.
Oh…Kae just posted a few things for sale over on her website, Faerie Lady fibers. I think she has her sock yarn and some bats and rovings for spinning. Her dye work is beautiful and her prices are great. Go check her out!!
I think this post needs a picture…
