Well, I bit the bullet and signed up for the online Weight Watchers today. It has been bugging me very much about how heavy I am. Trudging around the campus with a heavy book bag isn’t easy either.
I weighed this morning and I was 183. My goal weight is about 130. Weight Watchers thing says I should be 102-123. Sheesh..that would be like corpse thin. No thanks. I’ll see what 130 does for me.
The hardest part of this for me is giving up my Dr. Pepper. *sigh* But it will be worth it in the end. Anyone think I should do before and after pics?? Nah…might break the internet. ![]()

Congratulations on joining WW - that’s a big step. I’m thinking of doing the same. Good luck!

Let me know how that turns out… I’ve been contemplating doing WW online for a while.

Good on ya! I think you should do before pictures, if only for your own personal motivational use. Sometimes it’s good to see pics side-by-side and really notice the difference ten pounds less can make because when you’re trapped in the “big body” mind and mode of dieting and weighing and counting, sometimes you can’t really tell, or think you are fooling yourself. But pictures, they can track progress pretty objectively given standardised conditions.
Maybe you can come out and do an event with us!

I’m doing WW, too! But not online . . . for some reason I always forget to get on the website and track, so I’m doing it the traditional “meetings” way . . . in any case, if you want a motivation buddy, I’m here for ya!

you go girl!!! what a big and admirable step! i’d recommend to add some cardio at a nice gym, maybe even work towards running, that helped me, — i know it’s hard to give up the sodas, but once you get used to water you wont even crave for the other stuff any more!! i wish you power, strenght and keep the attitude up! you can do it!!!

Nice progress on your olympic knitting. How is WW going for you? I’m curious how the online thing works- do you think it’s worthwhile?
Best of luck!
