I promised photos of the yarn….
First you take this:
Then you add a spinning wheel and you make this:

(this is made from the fiber on the right)

(this is made from the lighter fiber on the left)
Both were dyed with the exact same dye. For the lighter instead of thoroughly saturating the fiber we “spotted” it.
Both together for comparison.
I still have one other ball of fiber yet to spin, but my back is aching. I need a better spinning chair or something.

Steph that yarn is just yummy. You did a wonderful job dying it and the spinning job is amazing. I am very impressed.

Wow, they’re gorgeous. Now you can rent out the kids! Think of how much more roving you can buy with the money that will bring ;^)

Wow, they’re gorgeous. Have you thought of renting the children out?

From that to that??? Wow. I had no clue you could dye the fleece, then spin it. I learned something new today.

I think you missed a step–isn’t an actual, you know, person necessary for the whole spinning wheel process to work?? I agree, though, that your dyeing turned out great and your spinning looks wonderful!

Take care to use the right chair or your back won’t recover for some time. Trust me, I’ve learned the hard way. Your spinning is beautiful!

Ooooh I’m jealous :). The yarn is beautiful!! I tried spinning with a spindle and it didn’t work out. I’m so desperate to spin but I don’t have the money/room for a wheel and spindles are not my friends..
But it’s just beatiful!!
