Specs:
Cobweb Shawl by Emma Crew from magknits
Handspun Merino Superwash wool from Verna (she sent roving..I spun the yarn)
Size 9 circs (Silvalume - I think)
There’s a couple more photos here and they are actually more true to the color. It’s lavendar.
I have a bit of the yarn left and I think I’m going to see if I can make Branching Out from the leftovers. It may not work out, but it will be good practice.
I think I’m addicted to lace now. A wonderful lady.. DeAnn (shawl goddess!!) posted on the Knitters Review Forums that she had some lace patterns free to a good home and I pm’d her and she’s sending them to me!!! My needles are ready to go!!
While I was gone on the trip I got a wonderful RAOK from Cindy.
Sorry for the crappy photo, but aren’t they lovely!! I can’t ever have enough stitch markers!
OH..happy news about the Pi Shawl. I was surely going to run out of yarn. Yarn that was so lovingly gifted to me by Jen. I was all depressed because I really wanted to finish the shawl. So anyway..lamenting the fact that I would have to buy some more…but didn’t want to pay the full price..(hey..I like the good stuff, but I’m cheap) I searched around the internet. What did I find?? A sale Baby!!! OH yeah! $3 off per ball. Just so you know, 5 more lovely balls are on their way to me so that I can finish the shawl. Last time I checked they had just departed Massachusetts.
Oh..and I’m working on a hat for the Dulaan Project. Norma inspired me. So I picked up some of my leftover handspun stuff and started knitting this morning. Photo upon completion.
(what’s with the linkage in this post??)

Your cobweb shawl is gorgeous!! I’ve not tried lace all that much but now I think I have to give it a real shot. I have a Charlotte’s web waiting in the wings.. I’m not sure if that’s really lace(?) but it’s a shawl all the same :). The Ectasy cruise ship is one of the most beautiful of the Carnival fleet. I was on the Tropicale many years ago before they took it out of service and gave the P.R-South Carib run to the Carnivale instead. I had a great time. Ohhhh the food, too pretty to eat, right? Gotta ask.. was your dining room in the bottom of the boat? I got seasick around dinner time and could never finish because the boat was always moving by my dinner call and the dining room was in the ‘basement’. But room service was a life-saver! Happy Knitting!
