La over at JenLa tagged me with the questionnaire.
Here are the simple rules to follow if you’d like to participate:
1. Leave me a comment saying “interview me.”
2. I will respond by asking you five questions here. They will be different questions than the ones below.
3. You will update YOUR blog with the answers to the questions.
4. You will include this explanation and an offer to interview someone else in the same post.
5. When others comment asking to be interviewed, you will ask them five questions.
1. What is your honest opinion about the whole Jailbird Poncho hype? Well, not being a fan of poncho’s anyway, I remember watching Good Morning America the morning she was released and saying, “Thats a neat scalloped edge” and I kept on going. I can’t believe that at least three (last time I looked) yarn companies have already knocked off the pattern. Don’t get me wrong, sometimes Martha has some neat ideas, but that poncho wasn’t one of them.
(plus…I’m not really wanting to look like someone who just got out of jail)
2. How long have you been doing SCA? What first drew you to it? What are your favorite activities/events? I am going into my third year of actual membership. I was involved for a year or two without actually having my paid membership. I am a history geek (history major to boot) and I was drawn to that at first. Now I’m loving the arts and sciences stuff.(yeah…I’m the Minister of Arts and Sciences for our Shire) My favorite event I would have to say is the yearly war with Trimaris. It’s this week, but I was too poor to be able to go to Mississippi this year so I’m not attending. (Here are my photos from last year.) My other favorite events so far are 1) the one our Shire does every year - Three Kings 2) Steppes Warlord 3) and any Coronation event. You can check out the calendar at http://www.ansteorra.org to find out more about the events.
3. What is your all-time favorite movie and why? This is a toughy, my movie (and music) tastes vary with my mood. I guess I would just have to say Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, just because it cracks me up. Either that one or Formula 51…gotta love Sam Jackson in a kilt.
4. If money was no object, what would be your ultimate favorite yarn? What would you knit with it? Unlimited amounts of Richesse et Soie. *drool* I would make scarves and gloves and shawls and probably even some socks. That stuff is like buttah!
5. What piece of sage advice would you give to your kids as they go to make their way in the world?Finish college and get a good job before you have kids and don’t count on anyone else to take care of you.
