One busy, busy day around here. I took the kids to Toys-r-Us today. They had a “Easter Egg Scavenger Hunt.” You went around the store with a sheet of clues and put stickers on them..when you were all done you got a goody bag. The Liam also had a coupon since it is near his birthday and he got a birthday crown and balloon and some stickers. (We also went back after lunch because they had a meet a Care Bear thing and he loves Care Bears - and I forgot my camera!!)

Since it was such a nice day today (bright sunny and high in the 80’s- if a bit windy) we all worked in the yard. I moved my 1/2 whiskey barrels from the back yard into the front and planted some bulbs and begonias in one. The other one is my herb barrel and I just filled it back up with new soil and got it ready to plant. The peppermint in it survived the winter though. I think I’m going to try some seeds this time and see what happens. We mowed the front yard and then undertook the cleaning of the back yard. Since we got Star Dog, she’s made a bit of a mess back there and we hauled off 5 big black trash bags from the back yard. I hosed down the patio and we cleaned up the back nicely.

We thought the yard looked so nice that we needed to cook something on the grill. I did chicken breasts and brats and they were yummy.

I haven’t knitted a stitch today, but I’m going to as soon as I finish up this post.

Next weekend I’m going to the Widlflower Fiber Retreat (scroll down a bit). I have some fabric and I’m going to be making myself some new pajama pants to wear there and I’m thinking of decorating a tshirt to match. Maybe with something fiber related. The fabric is purpley/pink stuff…can’t really describe it. Hmm..need to go on a clip art hunt. Anywho, this retreat is really needed and I think I’m going to have a blast. Maybe some other knit/spin bloggers can go next year and we can bunk together. (hint hint Chris hint hint)
