I didn’t realize that it had been a week since I posted. Sheesh. Someone smack me around a little. We’ve had a busy week around here and I guess I just didn’t notice. I’ve been knitting a bunch but I don’t have anything finished.
Here’s a couple of photos of my progress on rogue. I didn’t feel like taking it outside so the photos aren’t that great.
And a blurry closeup of the cable…
I know I said that I wasn’t going to cast on anything new until I finished something I started, but I did cast on something. This has a little special circumstances though. A guy that my sister works with and his wife had a baby a couple of weeks ago. He was full term and actually overdue and they hadn’t had any problems the whole pregnancy, but when he was born they rushed him up to children’s hospital in Dallas. He was born with some severe heart problems. Something about only one chamber in his heart and his aorta was bisected. He’s already had one small surgery and will probably be having a bunch more. So, anyway, I cast on for a little cotton sweater for the baby. I think that was a cause worth breaking my “no more new projects” rule. I have about 2 inches til I start the ribbing at the bottom and then I’ll do the sleeves. I’ll post a photo of it with a link to the pattern when I’m done. I think I’ll make him a little hat and booties also.
Well..it is supposed to be a pretty day here today (though its still pretty overcast) and the kids and I were going to work in the yard so I need to get off this computer and get busy.
Happy Weekend Knitting!!

Welcome back! And I hope the new baby is doing okay . . . they’ll take good care of him at Children’s! (btw, I work in a bldg that adjoins!).

I hope that the baby is doing okay, and that you’re okay for breaking your rule. Special circumstances always allow for bending of the rules.
