We have a new member of the family now.

Donnatello

Everyone say hello to Donnatello.

I was bored on Monday (who me bored??) and I decided to knit a buttonhole bag. I had this yarn that I had spun and just could not figure out what to make from it. (you’ll understand once you see the colors) I think the bag turned out cute.

Here it is pre-felted:

And after two trips through the washer…

Orange Buttonhole Bag

The fiber was a Romney/Mohair blend and it’s extremely fuzzy. I think I’m going to give it a hair cut. I was toying with the idea of making some felted leaves to put on it from some autumn colored yarn that I spun. Just have to knit the squares and felt them and then cut out the leaves. We’ll see if I ever get it done. Maybe I can needle felt it or someting. Angela can I borrow your felting needles??? LOL

I also knit a swatch from the grey yarn that I spun out of the raw fleece I bought.

I did it on size 6 needles and washed and blocked it. I haven’t measured it or figured the gauge yet.

Remember my last post lamenting the amount of projects I have on the needles??? Well…I now have one more. The daughter announced that she has a swim team banquet in three weeks and its semi-formal. The dress she wants to wear is strapless so I’m working up a stole for her to wear with her dress. No photos yet, sorry. Yep..one more project on the needles. (but I did finish something…the bag counts right??)

Help!!!

Someone stop me before I cast on again!!!

Sheesh..I have superduper startitis or something. I need to finish something around here.

I had to go to the LYS today because I needed some size 1 dpns (Brittanys of course) and a size 9 36″ circ (cuz my Pi shawl it getting a bit big for its britches). Did I come out of there with those?? Well..I got the size 1 dpns, but they didn’t have any wood size 9 36″ circs so they told me they would order some and took my name and number, but I couldn’t resist and got three skeins of THIS (scroll down and look at shade 34) its a burgandy type color. I was thinking Tempting for the daughter. Probably make the sleeves longer since its a wool yarn. Good idea?? Bad idea??

I’m such a dork. 4 socks on the needles unfinished, one pi shawl unfinished, one rogue unfinished *looks on sidebar* haven’t picked up the thing in ages. *sigh*

I just need to finish something already.
