I made these this week.
They are made from the very first yarn that I spun on my drop spindle. (I later plied it on my wheel - hey..its faster!) They look kind of wonky laying there. This is the first time I did the thumb by putting in waste yarn and then going back and taking it out. It was alot easier than I thought.
This picture shows that they do look a bit better on than just laying there.

You can almost see the sparklies too. The fiber was a mix of wool, silk and angelina (the sparkly stuff) I think they turned out pretty.
I’ve also been working on my cobweb shawl.
Here she is all laid out on the wall. Its really hard to take a photo of a shawl in progress and make it look like something. It just looks like a mess of yarn. LOL
Here, I laid it on my lap and stretched it out a bit so you can see the pattern. (kind of)
I’m really enjoying this and I just finished spinning the rest of the yarn last night. It’s now drying to set the twist. I joined the EZasPi Knitalong and ordered Elizabeth Zimmerman’s Knitters Almanac the other day. It’s supposed to be delivered on Tuesday. I even bought the Fiber Trends Peace shawl pattern a while back from my LYS. I suppose I’ll be on a shawl making kick here soon.
