I finished the set I was making for Becca. I think it turned out lovely. The headband is just a K2P2 rib circle with both the furry yarn and the lambs pride. The scarf is knit double with the yarn on size 13’s. It’s nice and thick and has a nice drape to it. She’s seen the pictures and she loves it.
Job well done!
I joined the Thing-along. (see the button on my sidebar) I decided I should take a photo of the progress on my thing so far. I’m at the buttonhole section. It’s larger than I thought it would be from looking at the photos in the book, but its turning out nice I think. It’s a good way to learn technique.
You might also notice that I joined the Pi Shawl knitalong. I have been working on a shawl (the cobweb shawl from MagKnits) which is based on the Pi Shawl pattern. I think when I’m done with it I’ll make a proper Pi Shawl.
I’m anxious to start my Rogue and I don’t even have the yarn yet. I guess I need to learn a little patience.
I bought and downloaded my pattern for Rogue last night. It’s all printed and in page protectors in it’s own ring binder. I should be ordering my yarn next week. I’m soooo ready to get started.
I put the knitalong button on my sidebar.
(Groa..if you read this, could you email me…I misplaced your email addy. Are you going to Kingdom A&S??)
I finished the mittens for my friend Becca. The Liam decided to model them for me.
I’ll take a better photo later for the finished object gallery. (If you haven’t noticed that yet..it’s on the sidebar to the right)
I got the most wonderful RAOK on Wednesday. Elka sent me this.
Yummy huh?? Stop your drooling!! Thanks so much Elka!
I went straight over to Patternworks and ordered this Pattern. Becca is trying to cooerce me to make them for her, but I want some for me. Well, should be able to get two pairs from four balls of yarn.
I finally have some knitting pics to post. This is one of a set of mitten’s I’m making for my friend Becca. She’s also getting a scarf out of the fuzzy stuff and if I have enough yarn an ear warmer too.

The yarn is Flirt (the fluffy stuff) and Lambs Pride worsted for the main part.
This a sock from the Fall 2004 Cast on magazine. I got this far and I’m not happy so it will be going to the frog pond soon.

The yarn is Schachenmayr Nomotta Air Cotton. (I got it in the sale bin at my LYS for $1 a ball YAY!!)
now..back to studying for my statistics test.
This little fellow came to live with us about two weeks ago.

He was born behind a friend of mine’s house and my friend was worried about the other very much larger male cats hurting him. He’s a bit wild and he hid for about 4 days and we didn’t see hide nor hair of him. He still won’t come to us voluntarily, but he’s figured out the litterbox and he is now roaming about the house more instead of hiding under my dresser.
We don’t have a name for this little boy yet. I think he needs something in his name that means “disappearing” or “vanishing” because he’s very very good at not being found. The kids like Topaz (heck if I know??!!??) but I think that’s too girly.
Any ideas???
EDIT!! They just posted the President’s Honor Roll list… Here Look for the city Longview and I’m the first one.
